Momotrope

[DEU] Momotrope is a conglomerate of sounds, perhaps the voice of an alien gazing longingly at the distant starry sky, a prince on the moon, a mock giant or a lost okapi? Her music lifts spherically into the air, dreams melancholically, and then shakes itself back down to earth. The mixture of finely tuned, sometimes unwieldy, beautiful synth worlds, the electronically enriched drum set and two acoustic vocal colors give "Momotrope" an idiosyncratic sound. The band seeks and finds a kind of conceptualized weirdness, with each song taking a slightly different, unpredictable direction, and always surprisingly profound, almost mystical.

Their music takes offatmospherically into the skies, dreams along melancholically, only to jolt itself back to the ground of reality. The blend of finely tuned, at times ruggedly beautiful synth worlds, the electronically enhanced drum set, and two acoustic vocal timbres gives Momotrope its idiosyncratic sound. KATHARR organic rhythm music

Katharr is a duo from Munich, consisting of the drummer Severin Rauch and the jackdaw player Tom Zimmer. The daw is a mixture of percussion and string instrument and is played through an amp. Together with the drums, an organic connection is created that is not disturbed by any computer. It comes beat by beat, a penetrating rhythm emerges from a sonic, echoing jumble that transports you into a trance-like state.
