Momotrope

[DEU] Momotrope is a conglomerate of sounds, perhaps the voice of an extraterrestrial looking longingly at the distant starry sky, a prince on the moon, a mock giant or a lost okapi? Her music lifts spherically into the air, dreams melancholically, and then shakes itself back down to earth. The mixture of finely tuned, sometimes unwieldy, beautiful synth worlds, the electronically enriched drum set and two acoustic vocal colors give "Momotrope" an idiosyncratic sound. The band seeks and finds a kind of conceptualized weirdness, with each song taking a slightly different, unpredictable direction, and always surprisingly profound, almost mystical.
