"Moonshine Unicorn (MU) is Munich's newest American roots music ensemble, which has been attracting attention with authentic American roots music from the early 20th century since the end of 2023. Stylistically, they move between blues, swing and early jazz - the acoustic way.
Cameron Armstrong / Mac Èron (Seattle, USA), Gabriel McCaslin (California, USA) and João Luz (Lisbon, Portugal) combine song, narrative and history and skillfully and cleverly link America's musical heritage with the present. Instruments such as guitar, banjo, violin, harmonica and dobro sound on stage - and the focus is on the vocals.
Moonshine Unicorn stands at the crossroads between tradition and innovation. Forgotten melodies are revived through a lively musical experience between past and present."
