More than 40,000 - art meets science
Why we will not survive without the oceans Lecture and public discussion with the German meteorologist, oceanographer and climate researcher Mojib Latif and the artist duo Irina Ahrend-Liu and Xiaomin Liu.
With their work-in-progress project "More than 40,000", the artist duo Irina Ahrend-Liu and Xiaomin Liu are pursuing the concept of confronting art and science with each other and bringing them into an interdisciplinary exchange. Art makes visible and has the unique ability to address emotion, intellect and empathy simultaneously.
The lecture and discussion will focus on the fact that the immense global extinction of species has made it even more necessary to combine different areas of expertise.
