Moritz Schöwing Trio feat. Thomas Fonnesbæk - HfMT Artist in Residence Concert

The jazz pianist Moritz Schöwing is bringing the Danish bass virtuoso Thomas Fonnesbæk to Bremen as part of his Artist in Residence concert. Fonnesbæk is one of Denmark's most exciting jazz musicians and has made a name for himself internationally with projects with Aaron Parks, Enrico Pieranunzi, Justin Kauflin and his duo with Sinne Eeg, among others. His double bass playing combines lightness, virtuosity and a fine sense of sound and melody. He is known both for his own compositions and for his interpretations of jazz standards. His lyrical pieces show influences from both the Scandinavian and American jazz traditions.

At the concert, the audience can expect a mixture of Moritz Schöwing's and Thomas Fonnesbæk's own pieces, plus selected standards and music by artists who have influenced Fonnesbæk on his musical path. There will probably also be one or two pieces by the Beatles in the program.

It will be an evening full of joyful playing, energy and a wonderful meeting of two generations!
