MOTHERHOOD (CAN) + Aftershow Party im DKK presented by Mauve

In the organizer's words:

It's going to be loud in the Dreikönigskeller on May 22. We are delighted to bring Motherhood from Canada to the stage.

The trio from New Brunswick make music that hits the spot. Often described as evil beach boys, punk, surf and garage come together to create a sound that is both playful and beautifully loud.

With their latest album Thunder Perfect Mind, Motherhood tell a surreal story about a sudden abduction by a dark growing cloud. There's only one way to get out, and it's through the middle.

Inspired by everything from Bad Brains to Ennio Morricone, they do their own thing. Powerful riffs, quirky ideas and songs that go forward and don't ask for long.

Theo Lorenz from Disco Underground and 80s Boogie Disco will accompany the evening as DJ. He will play before the concert to warm you up and then on to the after-show.
