2027 is going to be a special year. That’s because MS DOCKVILLE is turning 20. 🥹🎈 Two decades of music, art, encounters, nights out, favorite moments, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Get ready for a festival that brings together everything that’s defined us for the past 20 years—and maybe even a little more: amazing acts, art in all its forms, workshops, readings, special events, and plenty of things we’re still cooking up for you. 👀 Because, let’s face it: We’ve got BIG plans.

Who’ll be in our lineup in 2027 is still a secret for now. 🤫 But here’s what we can reveal: You can expect another mix that only MS DOCKVILLE can deliver.

Indie that moves you and makes you sing along. Energetic rap. Spoken word that sticks with you. Dreamy pop for the mind and heart. Guitars with the power to tear the place down. And club-ready sounds where “just one more song” quickly turns into sunrise.

MS DOCKVILLE 2027

On August 20–21, 2027, the MS DOCKVILLE—Festival for Music and Art in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg—will take place for the 20th time! Located right on the Elbe and yet just a 10-minute S-Bahn ride from the main train station, the festival is special in every way: The green grounds are situated in the middle of the harbor and are covered in art, the atmosphere is one-of-a-kind, and the program sets the bar high. 

The festival presents an international, top-tier lineup featuring over 100 acts, bands, and DJs, with a total of more than 120 program highlights—spanning 8 stages (from the main stage to club-like atmospheres to off-site venues). Musically, MS DOCKVILLE isn’t limited to any one genre, but focuses on indie, hip-hop, pop, and electronic music. The festival’s lineup brings together newcomers, fan favorites, international stars, and hidden gems. In addition to music, MSDV inspires visitors with workshops, readings, art walks, and interactive activities. All of this takes place amidst murals, installations, and over 50 other works of urban art.  

Over 25,000 visitors (per day)—who arrive by bike through the Elbe Tunnel or spend the night as campers at one of Germany’s most beautiful festival campgrounds—celebrate curiosity and discovery together. Thanks to the enthusiastic and welcoming atmosphere and the festival’s inclusive concept, everyone feels at home—whether they’re browsing, partying, or exploring.

Even though MS DOCKVILLE on Wilhelmsburger Reiherstiegisone of Hamburg’s most beautiful locations, its appeal extends far beyond the Hanseatic city and has earned the festival international recognition. With its gender-balanced lineup, unique venue, and social and political commitment, the Hamburg festival for music and art sets new standards without losing that sense of freedom and hedonism.
