Mulo Francel, saxophonist and creative whirlwind of the renowned band Quadro Nuevo, meets the young ensemble "Die Drahtzieher":

In their joint program My Gypsy Heart, they present Swing Manouche, the music of European gypsy traditions, as well as South American boleros in all their sonic intensity. Exciting original compositions alternate with selected classics of the genre and instrumental gems by the great Django Reinhardt. The result is a unique esprit and an exhilarating concert experience.

The unmistakable sound of the wire-pullers artfully interweaves the influences of three well-traveled young musicians. Their instruments meet at the highest level in imaginative, finely balanced arrangements. Deep melancholy is paired with fiery temperament. The result is a convincing picture of a next generation that knows and loves the sonic heritage of their forefathers - and leads them into the future with fresh openness.

Mulo Francel, winner of multiple German Jazz Awards, two ECHOs and the German Record Critics' Award, tours the globe with his unmistakably elegant saxophone style - from the Balkans to Buenos Aires. He is currently celebrating 30 Years around the World with Quadro Nuevo.
