Since 1972, the original Munich Christkindlmarkt, which dates back to the 14th century, has had its permanent place in the heart of the city. The Christmas tree on Munich's Marienplatz is an eye-catcher. Also the Kripperlmarkt at the Alter Peter invites with its offer to visit and the events like Krampuslauf, Himmelswerkstatt, singing under the Christmas tree or the Advent music from the balcony of the city hall entertain the whole family.
