Eccentric and unmistakable

Claus Raible, internationally renowned jazz pianist, will perform Monk's music with his trio and talk to Marcus Wölfle about his life and work. Alongside Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, the eccentric Monk is one of the co-founders of bebop. His piano playing was idiosyncratic, and his compositions are just as unmistakable. His piece "Round About Midnight" became a classic and is still one of the most played jazz compositions today.
