Sascha Förster, the director of the TMD, takes you on a guided tour of the Hofgartenhaus, the home of the Theatermuseum. As the Theatermuseum is currently preparing its new special exhibitions, the focus is on the permanent exhibition 1904 to 1947: Change between awakening & archive. The permanent exhibition presents the fascinating stories of the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf (Dumont-Lindemann), a unique modernist reform project founded in 1904. 42 different objects are presented in a huge display case and visitors can decide for themselves which objects they want to learn more about. The tour ends with a view from the best balcony in Düsseldorf.
