It's finally time again, MUSIC MEETS BASKETBALL, Vol. 7 has been scheduled: At the BBL home game on Shrove Tuesday, February 13 (8 p.m.), against Chemnitz, the successful baller-plus-live-act event of the Bayern basketball team will enter the next round - once again with a super popular act: rapper BADMÓMZJAY will take the court at BMW Park during halftime and after the game!

German rap with a message

After top acts such as Max Giesinger, Sido and most recently Jan Delay and Clueso, a successful female artist is finally making a guest appearance at "MMB". And the 21-year-old from Brandenburg is without question one of the most exciting representatives of the booming German rap scene.

Badmómzjay's songs are streamed by millions of fans, as is currently the case with her new album release "Survival Mode" (November 23), which climbed to number three in the German hip hop charts at the beginning of December. She has already graced the big billboard in New York's Times Square and has won awards such as the German Music Writer's Prize 2022 for "Ohne Dich" (with Kasimir 1441 & Wildboys) and twice the "MTV Europe Music Award " for "Best German Act" (2021, 2022).

New album "Survival Mode" high in the charts

Badmómzjay - the first female rap artist to be featured on the cover of German Vogue with her striking red hair - raps brilliantly against sexism, racism and homophobia. Her follower numbers on TikTok and Instagram are gradually approaching the million mark.

It all began in 2019 with her own label and soon afterwards with her first major label contract. Her single "Move" spent several weeks at the top of the charts in spring 2020. The first studio album "Badmómz." went up to number seven in 2021.

Top match against Chemnitz

Badmómzjay also wants to hit the ground running at festivals in 2024 - but first they will be making a stop at BMW Park for the top match against the Niners from Chemnitz, who are currently leading the table.
