DIE TOTEN HOSEN - DAS LETZTE ALBUM is an unvarnished portrait of the iconic cult group during perhaps their most difficult period. The pressure on the band, whose roots lie in the punk scene of the 80s, is high. Singer and lyricist Campino, whose real name is Andreas Frege, sets the tone: "That means we're firing from all cylinders." Bassist Andi Meurer emphasizes the scope of the project: "The idea that this is the last time we're making an album is something special." The film crew is also present behind the scenes of a European tour that the band has inserted between the studio recordings - very special moments for guitarist Kuddel: "You have to realize that it can always be the last concert. And the older you get, the more likely it is." The documentary is a moving tribute to a band that wrote German music history and continues to inspire generations to this day.
