Jörg Widmann, one of the greatest artistic voices of our time and a long-time friend of "Spring", is coming with an all-Mozart program! Widmann has had "boundless admiration" for the Viennese classic since his youth. The program includes, as he says, "seemingly well-known pieces" - the famous and much-performed last two symphonies and the Sinfonia concertante. What particularly fascinates him is the extreme emotional range, the "shift from absolute serenity to a kind of premonition of death". Jörg Widmann forms a harmonious team with the Munich Chamber Orchestra, which he has led as Associated Conductor since 2022/23, and the two soloists from the orchestra.

The performance will be followed by an artist talk with Anselm Cybinski in the Festival Center.
