Büchner and Tabori played by 12-year-olds? Is that possible? YES! In the new play "Mothers and Fathers", conceived especially for this project, Rena Dumont combines classic texts from world literature with her own newly written passages to create a new story. Characters from classics of world literature appear in her self-written play. In order to bring them closer to our children, to make them "palatable", classics by Sam Shepard, Henrik Ibsen, Friedrich Dürrenmatt and many others are embedded in an easily accessible plot and interwoven with their fates. The result is a wild collage of classic monologues/dialogues mixed with contemporary texts. The longing for parental love from back then is in no way different from today. As a method acting actress, coach and director, Rena Dumont pushes the depth of the fates and merges them with entertainment to create a story.
