In the organizer's words:
Musical based on George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" and the film by Gabriel Pascal | Book by Alan Jay Lerner | Music by Frederick Loewe | German by Robert Gilbert
Duration: 3 hours | 1 intermission | ages 12 and up
Is it possible to teach a simple flower girl from the London slums the language and manners of a lady within a few months? Top, the bet is on! Phonetics professor Henry Higgins is confident of success with this experiment, degrading Eliza Doolittle to a scientific object and torturing her with abstruse language exercises. Just as the Greek sculptor Pygmalion once created the statue of a perfect woman, Henry Higgins also wants to create a dazzling work of art from the daughter of a dustman and present her as a duchess at the embassy ball. But has the professor realized that the lady at his side is not a statue of stone, but a self-confident woman with her own intentions and dreams?
