Mythos - Sinfoniekonzert

The Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Lower Saxony (JPON) presents its varied program in the Lübeck Music and Congress Hall. With works by Aram Khachaturian, Maurice Ravel and Sergei Prokofiev, the evening promises a musical journey through three unique worlds of sound.

Aram Khachaturian's Suite No. 2 from the ballet "Spartacus" inspires with powerful rhythms and multi-layered melodies that bring the dramatic story of the ancient hero to life. Maurice Ravel's "Daphnis et Chloé" Suite No. 2 and Sergei Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5 transport the audience into a world full of poetry and masterfully orchestrated emotionality.

The JPON is a young orchestra with musicians from very different backgrounds. It thrives on its diversity, in which aspiring professionals and music-loving amateurs from Lower Saxony, the whole of Germany and beyond pursue the common goal of bringing great symphonic works to the stage. Founded in 1989, the orchestra has always been organized on a voluntary basis and thrives on the voluntary commitment of its members. Once a year, the JPON meets for its big summer project.
