Nach Europa

In the organizer's words:

A Christian and a Muslim in the same boat. Both are fleeing to Europe. They can only survive in mutual cooperation, but are entangled in their very own ideas of Europe. The stage design plays with the elements wood and light. The wooden parts form a boat skeleton and thus symbolize the will of the people to set off into new worlds. The light is made tangible by two state-of-the-art lasers, creating virtual spaces.

A touching, informative and entertaining play about the state of democracy and that peace and justice are possible and that we must stand up for a democratic Europe if we want to protect it. "To Europe" scores points not only with exciting dialogues, but also with musical interludes and an impressive light and laser show. An audience discussion will take place after the performance.

The production is also suitable as a teaching piece for school classes and is aimed at all people aged 14 and over. An enrichment for the classroom, which contributes to the deepening of the curriculum topic. Teaching material is available for teachers, just contact WERK7 theater.
