"During my studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (class of Klaus Rinke) from 1977 to 1980, I published "Salon", a magazine with original contributions (series of drawings, photographs, watercolors; with or without text...) by artists I knew personally but also by internationally famous artists whom I had spoken to in cafés or at museum or gallery openings. SALON VERLAG & EDITION has been a publishing house for art and artists' books etc. since 1995. The second "season" of SALON magazine has been published since 2015. Despite the publishing house being based in Cologne, Düsseldorf artists and artists teaching in Düsseldorf have also been published since the beginning: Peter Piller, Mischa Kuball, Natascha Borowsky, Peter Doig, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Ruth Weber, Elizabeth Peyton, Stuke / Sieber, Gregor Schneider, Robin Merkisch,...)"
