"Nachtland" - a provocative satire about guilt, inheritance and profit, a comedy with depth - intelligent and entertaining.

After the death of their father, two adult siblings discover an old painting signed 'A.Hitler'. While they argue about whether the painting is a historical memorial or a lucrative treasure, long-suppressed anti-Semitism clichés come to light. Marius von Mayenburg'scontemporary play is a bitterly wicked comedy about the heavy legacy of Germany's past - and the "inheritance disputes" that go with it.
