The "wild heart of South America" is full of contrasts and adventure. From the majestic mountains to the untouched rainforests, the Andes offer an incredible variety of landscapes and cultures. When Austrian cycling adventurers Anita Burgholzer and Andreas Hübl explore the world's mightiest mountain range for the first time, they have no idea that it will lead to a great love affair. Three journeys and 20,000 kilometers of cycling later, the two of them give a rousing and personal account of their exciting experiences in one of the most fascinating regions on earth.

The journey takes them across the snow-covered mountains of northern Peru to the Bolivian Altiplano and on to the Chilean-Argentinean high desert. Altitudes of up to 5,400 meters, remoteness, extreme temperature fluctuations and miserable roads often push the two of them to their limits. Between loneliness and colorful festivals, Anita and Andreas struggle with unplanned setbacks and strong emotions. A rollercoaster of highs and lows, physical and mental challenges and unforgettable moments. However, the "salt in their soup" is always the warm encounters with people and the feeling of deep connection.

• Unless otherwise noted, the lectures will take place in the basement. There is only room for a limited number of guests in this unique setting, which is why we strongly recommend using the advance booking system.
• Please note that admission is only possible via our main entrance (corner of Isartorplatz) until 20:10.
• The event area is barrier-free.
• We are happy to consider wheelchair spaces when allocating seats - please register in advance via shop-muenchen@globetrotter.de.
• There are toilets and disabled toilets on the event area floor.
• (Companion) dogs are welcome during the event, but must be registered.
• For a donation of € 2,- we provide various drinks for sale. The proceeds will go towards our annual sleeping bag fundraiser. Only limited change is available.
