“The man with the STEREO hands” is the stage name and solo recording project of songwriter, guitarist, and singer Neil Dwerryhouse, who lives near Oxford, UK.

Neil is probably best known as one of the former guitarists of the cult band“The Chameleons” from Manchester. Throughout various lineup changes, Neil played electric guitar alongside original Chameleons members Mark Burgess, John Lever, and Reg Smithies on tours across the UK, Europe, and worldwide until he left the band in late 2022.

“The man with the STEREO hands” has been writing and recording his own unique brand of melodic indie and dream pop since the mid-1990s; to date, he has released four albums and two EPs independently. These can be streamed on Bandcamp and many other streaming platforms.

His 2016 album “Looking for Light” is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, and a brand-new, previously unreleased album of original material is currently being recorded and is set to be released in the spring of 2027.

Neil’s rare one-man live performances are characterized by passionate vocals, electro-acoustic guitar with various effects pedals, drum loops, and layered guitar riffs played live in front of the audience.

Whether Neil plays a live set of his own songs, stylish cover versions, or a mix of both—you can look forward to a fantastic, multi-layered live sound produced by just a pair of stereo hands!
