The smell of freshly baked bread will soon be wafting through the streets of Pempelfort: On Wednesday, May 15, Zeit für Brot will open the doors of its new bakery.
Sourdough breads, bread rolls, yeast rolls and sweet pastries: in Düsseldorf's first Zeit für Brot bakery , as at the other locations, everything is baked directly on site and by hand. The special thing about Zeit für Brot is that the bakeries are living places of craftsmanship that invite you to look over the bakers' shoulders as they work. From tearing open the sack of flour to preparing the sourdough and shaping the dough pieces, customers can watch everything through the glass bakery and enjoy the oven-fresh baked goods on the spot. They are made from organic ingredients using a long dough process and contain neither chemical additives nor artificial enzymes.
Nothing has changed in this concept since the company was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 2009 - the drive is and remains to bake good bread. Düsseldorf is the eighth major German city in which Zeit für Brot now does this.
