NeW Brass Big Band

In the organizer's words:

The NeW Brass Big Band from Neustadt an der Weinstraße is no ordinary big band. It has dedicated itself to classical music and gospel. Originating from a church trombone choir, the band now plays swing arrangements of themes by Mozart, Bach and Handel, as well as gospels such as "Swing Low" and "Abide With Me". Ralph "Mosch" Himmler has led the band since the beginning. The lecturer at the Saarbrücken University of Music, who studied with Ack van Rooyen, has already played with Shirley Bassey and James Moody. The band has not only wowed the crowds at all German church congresses over the last 20 years, from Munich to Hamburg, Cologne to Dresden, but has also toured Asia three times as German cultural ambassadors. In March, the band recently toured South Korea and played several acclaimed festival appearances.
