NFL Flag Football - Sport im Park

Even more flag football in Düsseldorf—and you can be part of it. The non-contact version of American football will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028 and, in collaboration with the NFL, is now also part of Sport im Park.

Dates to join in:

 * July 12, 3:00–4:30 p.m. – Rheinpark Golzheim (toward the Theodor-Heuss Bridge)

 * July 19, 3:00–4:30 p.m. – Rheinpark Golzheim (toward the Theodor-Heuss Bridge)

With support from the Düsseldorf Firecats, the Düsseldorf Bulldozers, and the Neuss Legions, you can easily give flag football a try—for all age groups, no prior experience required, and completely free with no registration needed. All you need is weather-appropriate sportswear and something to drink.

In addition, 20 NFL flag football equipment stations have been set up in Düsseldorf’s parks and sports facilities. Using the Equip Sports app, you can borrow the necessary equipment for free at any time and get started right away.

Another highlight this summer: From August 13–16, the Flag Football World Championship will take place at the Garath District Sports Complex, where the first teams will qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games—an international event right on your doorstep.
