The video documentary accompanies 12 "grannies" in Munich in their fight against the shift to the right in Germany. Their motto: "Being old doesn't mean being mute!" Despite all the prophecies of doom, the women put all their energy into one card for one summer before the 2021 federal elections and launched a challenging campaign. For 100 days, they collected statements against the right on the streets.

Filmmaker Manuela Serafim accompanied the OMAS through learning processes and diverse encounters until they won the "Lichtblicke" award for their courageous project.

"...I am an over eighty-year-old grandmother and in my long life I have experienced war and expulsion, but also the economic rise and helped to build it up. This happened in a functioning democracy that demands human rights and human dignity for all people. This democracy is under threat. Right-wing extremist thinking is growing, violence and agitation are on the rise. One party (AfD) is trying to undermine the Basic Law by democratic means. I feel partly responsible for this development because I used to simply stand by and watch. That is why I am demonstrating for our parliamentary democracy and against right-wing extremist ideas in parties and wherever they are spreading." (Ursula)
