NIELSEN & RINGELNATZ - "A RELATIONSHIP STORY".
The greatest silent film star of all time and the oddball poet: few people know how close Asta Nielsen and Joachim Ringelnatz were.
It was just as little known that Asta Nielsen also took up the pen. And so it is thanks to Kat Menschik and her illustrated edition of Asta Nielsen's stories that we can immerse ourselves in the 1920s and early 1930s with Nielsen and Ringelnatz.
A world that director Sabine Jainski also brings us into with her new film "Asta Nielsen - Europe's first film icon" (Oct. 29 on arte and in the arte media library). Exclusively at the event "Der Norden liest - Die Herbsttour" Sonja Beißwenger and Felix Knopp will read from a previously unpublished correspondence, which Erika Fischer from the Ringelnatz Museum has selected for the occasion.
The evening, moderated by Christoph Bungartz, is under the patronage of Stiftung Lesen and takes place in cooperation with Literaturhaus Hamburg, the Joachim Ringelnatz Foundation, the Joachim Ringelnatz Museum and Bücherhallen Hamburg.
