Market for high-quality arts and crafts

Art, crafts and design can be admired and purchased on the Whitsun weekend on Oldenburg's Schlossplatz. The traditional Nikolai Market will take place there on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 85 artisans and designers will set up their stalls between the castle, the Old Guardhouse and the castle courtyards. The exhibitors present their products under the title "Market for New Crafts and Design" and showcase the wide variety of creative crafts.

Artisans with traditional craft training from all over Germany will be taking part. They design and manufacture products with a modern, contemporary design in high quality from high-quality materials. Works from the fields of ceramics, stone, wood, leather, jewelry, textiles, sculpture, graphics and other trades are represented.

The market on the Schlossplatz is rounded off by a fine gastronomic offer and coffee specialties.
