Even if the Reeperbahnfestival announces him as "Weird Guy From Bavaria", this guy doesn't sound at all like his Bavarian homeland. Under the name of his great-grandfather "Nikolaus Wolf" Michi Rieder rather lives out his weakness for Sixties Rock, Neo Folk & Brit Pop to the fullest. Accordingly, the Süddeutsche Zeitung calls him a "chameleon of pop music of the second half of the 20th century", a certain sympathy to Liam Gallagher or John Lennon cannot be ignored.

The New Mourning

The New Mourning around Thomas Pronai take the liberty to break out of patterns and structures. On "When the Light Fades" it doesn't only get zappenduster.

Thomas Pronai is known from his two projects The Beautiful Kantine Band and Bo Candy & His Broken Hearts. In Austria and Germany, both enjoy an excellent reputation, especially in a live context. The restless one, however, is not interested in routine. The examination of himself and the world ends with the known and begins via the new, curiosity, the pushing of boundaries. With his musical comrades-in-arms - Georg Allacher (guitar), Gerald Allacher (drums) and Michi Rieder (guitar) - Pronai is now treading new paths as the head of The New Mourning with the debut "When the Light Fades".
