In the organizer's words:

"Nora" and "A Woman's Freedom" are two thematically related productions: two touching stories of emancipation that you can see as a double bill on selected dates. However, we also show both parts separately as stand-alone evenings.

72 hours before Christmas, Nora's assumptions about her relationship are put to the test. She is soon faced with drastic life decisions. Felicitas Brucker and her ensemble tackle Ibsen's epochal theatrical thriller. They stay close to Ibsen, his characters and the conflicts of the classic and supplement them with the contemporary perspectives of playwrights Sivan Ben Yishai, Gerhild Steinbuch and Ivna Žic. They rethink the iconic Nora for our time.

The shooting star of French literature, Édouard Louis, has reinvented nothing less than a genre: autofictional writing. He tells of classism, homophobia, chauvinism and xenophobia. Now he follows in the footsteps of his mother Monique Belleguelle's biography and describes her touching metamorphosis: how she frees herself from her toxic family in the provinces, how she finds a new life and a new love in Paris, how she finally smokes a cigarette with Catherine Deneuve.
