April is all about novo! On Sunday morning we let a Berlin band take over the controls all by themselves. Mia Mangata and Zwei'E, the founders of the Novo Sound collective, which gives DJ newcomers a real club experience, bring a sophisticated capital city club feeling to our living room. Mia Mangata also started small, of course, playing her first gigs in Berlin in 2019. Since then, however, things have gone through the roof for her and her driving mix of indie dance and melodic techno. Mia has already wowed audiences at more than 50 clubs and festivals in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands - from the Amsterdam Dance Event to Ritter Butzke and KitKat Club to Mensch Meier, Odonien, Waagenbau and Rakete.

Their Novo colleagues Zwei'E then take over the rear part shortly after sunrise. They radiate a special energy when they play together, which is also appreciated at the famous KitKat Club in Berlin, where they have recently become resident DJs. It might look chaotic from the outside, but it's not. Because they have a clear intention, push each other up and constantly react to each other and to the vibes that space and time send out. They don't bang out one peak-time banger after the other, but instead open up the room with bouncy indie dance grooves, build up an organic tension and then - depending on the crowd - let out rousing hard grooves, playful and sexy, deep and dirty, but never aggressive. Just Novo level.
