Contemporary Jazz & Folk Pop
NIA Wohlgemuth's music is humanity set to music. Her lyrics are about love and loss, connection and longing, sharing loneliness over two bottles of beer and the smell of coffee with cardamom.
She has been performing her songs on stage for half of her life now. She studied jazz singing at the University of the Arts in Bremen and is now releasing her fourth studio production as a singer-songwriter at the end of April 2026: the solo EP "Molded From Clay", which she recorded at Studio Nord at the beginning of the year.
Her melodies are the result of an unconventional blend of folk-pop and jazz.
The result: deeply perceptible sounds embedded in progressive song structures.
Performed with a clear voice that is strong in every facet and whose authenticity is hard to resist. NIA Wohlgemuth's musical work has been particularly inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper and Wallis Bird.
At the release concert for the new EP on May 28 at the Olive Brot & Weinbar, NIA will be joined on stage for the first time by singer and songwriter Olivia de Beek, who will enrich her songs with her soulful voice.
