Come on board and become researchers yourself: Together we will go to the banks of the Saale, collect water samples with nets and examine our findings directly on board under the microscope. With our analysis kit, you can measure, compare and find out what's in the water yourself.

In the hands-on kitchen, everything revolves around algae as the food of the future. Here you can try out how versatile and surprising this resource is. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to explore our ship as a floating research station, talk to the crew on board and learn more about our mission.

Creative hands-on activities on recycling, upcycling and climate and water topics await you at various research stations - from designing with unusual materials to small experiments.

The Open Boarding Door is a place for curiosity, exchange and joint discovery. Here you can ask questions, contribute your own ideas and talk to others about scientific topics and their significance for our society.
