Come aboard and become researchers yourselves: Together, we’ll head to the banks of the Saale,use dip nets, andcollect water samples, which we’ll examine right on boardunder a microscopeand with our analysis kit. Find out for yourselves what substances and organisms are in the water.
In thehands-on kitchen, everything revolves around algae as the food of the future. Here, you can discover just how versatile and surprising this resource is. At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to explore our ship as a floating research station, chat with the crew, and learn more about our mission.
At variousresearch stations,creative hands-on activitiesrelated to recycling, upcycling, and climate and water issues await you—from crafting with unusual materials to conducting small experiments.
“Open Deck” is a place for curiosity, exchange, and shared discovery. Here, you can ask questions, contribute your own ideas, and engage in conversations with others about scientific topics and their significance for our society.
