Offene Probe - Selective Breeding - IVONA

The 9th tanzOFFensive starts early for those who decide quickly: We invite you to the open rehearsal of the group IVONA, which opens our festival this year. Come and see the work on the piece "Selective Breeding" for yourself. The rehearsal starts Monday, April 29, at 7 pm. Free admission.

The ensemble led by Italian choreographer Pablo Girolami will be working at the EISFABRIK for 20 days until the opening of the festival. We experience the energetic and concentrated rehearsals of the five dancers and their choreographer. IVONA on stage is a breathing, undulating, morphing organism. But in addition to the company's very own body language, this time there is a decided focus on content: it is about breeding desirable characteristics in living beings. In a mocking parody of the optimization mania, Pablo Girolami defends himself against the manipulation of humans and asks a butcher, two chicks and a salmon to dance.
