Koffi is possessed. At least that's what his family believes, which is why they call him Zabolo, sign of the devil. He returns to his birthplace in the Congo for the first time in many years after being ostracized there for years. Koffi wants to get the family's blessing for his marriage to Alice, with whom he lives in Belgium. But the old animosities are still palpable, with only his sister Tshala being critical of the collective superstition. Koffi wants to understand the reasons for his ostracism and discovers a family secret in the process. And then there is Paco, a boy from a street gang whose fate seems to be linked to Koffi's life ...

In his multi-award-winning feature film debut, musician, filmmaker and all-round artist Baloji explores the extent to which superstition and prejudice influence the fate of his four main characters in a haunting way. OMEN is a film full of unforgettable images, a stunning testament to the creative energy of contemporary African cinema.
