On June 17, 2026, the Solingen Addiction Network cordially invites you to a film screening at COBRA Solingen as part of the Alcohol Action Week. The film "One for the Road" will be shown, a haunting yet entertaining drama about dealing with alcohol and the often gradual development of addiction.
The film tells the story of a young man (played by Frederick Lau) whose seemingly controlled alcohol consumption increasingly spirals out of control. With a successful mixture of humour and seriousness, "One for the Road" sheds light on the dynamics of addiction, the social normalization of alcohol and the challenges of confronting problematic consumption. The film thus offers a low-threshold approach to dealing with the topic of alcohol addiction and engaging in conversation.
Anyone interested in the topic of (alcohol) addiction is invited to attend - whether professionally, personally or out of general interest. Following the screening, there will be an opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals and committed people from Solingen's addiction support services.
