From filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and producer Emma Stone comes the fantastical story of Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a young woman who is brought back to life from the dead by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Under Baxter's guidance and protection, Bella is eager to learn. She is hungry for life and the life experience she lacks. With Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a cunning and disreputable lawyer, she sets off on a whirlwind adventure across the continents.
