Open Lab Abend: Futures Thinking — Zukünfte gestalten lernen
In the organizer's words:
The future is uncertain - but we can shape it. This Open Lab evening will show you how. You will get to know the Futures Thinking method, a combination of futurology and design thinking. The aim is to identify and evaluate trends and combine them into desirable future scenarios.
Futures Thinking helps you to better understand the complex challenges of the future - both professionally and privately. Because the future is what we make of it!
We focus on the relationship between people and machines, because technology is much more than just a tool today: it is part of our everyday lives, influencing the way we think and the way we live together. We talk to machines, trust their decisions and allow them to guide and advise us. Sometimes we even get the impression that they understand us emotionally. These contacts with technology change the way we work, feel and perceive ourselves. At the same time, we ask ourselves: what is there to gain - and to lose? And how do we want to shape our future with technology?
In this workshop, we will take a look ahead together:
- How do we want to live together with technology?
- Which tasks should machines take over, and which will remain with us humans?
- How will technology change our bodies, our abilities and our self-image?
- What new forms of closeness, interaction and relationships between humans and machines are emerging?
What is an Open Lab evening?
Every Thursday, things get creative in the lab. You will learn about methods such as design thinking or future storytelling, can try out 3D printers and laser cutters and take a look behind the scenes of the Lab projects. There's something new every week.
