Open Lab Abend: KI fürs Klima
In the organizer's words:
Nature Conservation with Artificial Intelligence
“AI for the Climate” is a role-playing game in which you, as an interdisciplinary research team, tackle real-world environmental problems. Together, you’ll immerse yourselves in an ecosystem and explore how artificial intelligence can contribute to nature conservation. Analyze challenges, develop creative solutions, and train your own AI prototype.
In this workshop, you’ll explore how artificial intelligence can be used to protect ecosystems. After a joint introduction to natural climate protection, you’ll develop a basic understanding of AI applications and train your own AI for image recognition—the “GenAI Teachable Machine.”
You’ll then work in small groups on a challenge: Your AI should be able to distinguish between healthy and damaged forests. What might such an AI look like? What would it need to be able to do? And what might an initial prototype of your idea look like? Let’s find out together.
“AI for the Climate” was developedon behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety in collaboration with kosmos b. As part of the “AI Box Climate” initiative, the role-playing game can be obtained free of charge thanks to the BMUKN. You can find more information about the project and the contents of the “AI Box Climate” at:https://ki-box-klima.de/
