Open Lab Abend: Robotic Intervention — Wie verändert Robotik die Medizin von morgen?

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

Healthcare is facing major challenges worldwide: An ageing society, an increasing shortage of specialists and ever more complex medical treatment options require new solutions. Robotic assistance systems and artificial intelligence are often discussed as beacons of hope. But what problems can they actually solve? Which tasks can machines take on - and which should be reserved for humans?

The workshop combines future social issues with current research approaches in medical robotics. Participants will experience the challenges of modern interventional medicine through interactive exercises and discuss the opportunities, limitations and ethical issues of robotic support systems.

Specific research examples from Fraunhofer IMTE will be used to show how scientific questions arise from social challenges and how innovative technologies are developed from them.

What is an Open Lab evening?

Every Thursday it gets creative in the lab. You can learn about methods such as design thinking or future storytelling, try out 3D printers and laser cutters, take a look behind the scenes of the lab projects and listen to exciting keynote speeches. There's something new every week.

Cooperation

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. is a partner of the Futurium.

Workshop leader

The workshop will be conducted by Prof. Dr. Dennis Kundrat, Scientific Incubator for Robotic Intervention, Fraunhofer-IMTE and Lisa Ey-Rodyk, Administrative Director Fraunhofer-IMTE.
