Open Lab Abend: KI in Liebe und Leben — Eine Reise durch Zukunftsszenarien mit KI
In the organizer's words:
Would you let an AI fight your rent increase? Would you let it write your love letters? Would you let the AI decide whether you’re truly in love? And now imagine that millions of people are doing exactly that right now. AI is slowly becoming a constant companion in relationships, in the city, and in decisions that are really none of anyone else’s business. What happens when algorithms start shaping how we live, who we are, how we make daily decisions, and whom we love?
What is an Open Lab evening?
Every Thursday, things get creative at the Lab. You’ll learn methods like Design Thinking and Future Storytelling, try out 3D printers and laser cutters, and get a behind-the-scenes look at Lab projects. There’s something new every week.
At this Open Lab evening, you can immerse yourself in one of two experimental future scenarios. In one, we’ll use AI and a game to explore how AI could change Berlin. In the other, we’ll examine what happens when AI enters our most intimate relationships.
Test future scenarios. Question your own assumptions. Debate with strangers. You might leave with more questions than you had when you arrived.
Scenario 1: The Kaleidoscope of Berlin’s Future
For one evening, you’ll be part of a collective that decides how AI fits into the city’s everyday life.
You’ll take on a role, react to real-life scenarios, and decide when to use AI and when not to. Every decision contributes to a shared, ever-changing Berlin: a living simulation that reacts to you in real time.
Should AI optimize everything? Or should some things be allowed to remain deliberately human, even if they’re slower or imperfect?
In the end, two questions remain: Would you want to live in the future you’ve helped shape? And how can we integrate AI into our lives without losing what makes us human?
Scenario 2: Love, Moderated – The Future of Intimacy
For one evening, you’ll become part of a psychological experiment exploring the relationship between humans and machines.
Technology promises relationships without friction, heartbreak, or uncertainty. AI companions are supposed to be a perfect match for you, always available, and never contradict you. But every algorithmic decision leaves its mark—on our society, on our daily lives, and perhaps even on how we understand intimacy.
During this Open Lab evening, you’ll engage in a conversation with an immersive, adaptive AI. It will challenge your boundaries and put your social skills to the test.
How much control over your relationships would you trade for convenience?
