Open Lab Abend: Routen in die Robotik
In the organizer's words:
What exactly are robots? Machines that take on tasks for us? Smart helpers in our daily lives? Or systems with which we’ll work more and more closely in the future? During this Open Lab evening, you’ll get to the bottom of these questions. You’ll discover current examples from research and real-world applications, learn why people develop robots, and try out for yourselves how robotics works.
Together, you’ll take a look at where robots are already being used today, what problems they’re designed to solve, and what ideas researchers are developing for the future. It’s not just about technology, but also about our relationship with machines: What should robots be capable of? What tasks would we like to entrust to them? And what might effective collaboration between humans and machines look like?
In the hands-on portion, you’ll get active yourselves: Using Dash robots—which can be controlled and programmed via an app—you’ll tackle creative challenges. This way, you’ll experience firsthand how you can build complex sequences using simple commands. No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and a love of discovering things together.
