Opening »A – Z. Mapping the Future ll« Die ABK Stuttgart zu Gast in der Staatsgalerie

In the organizer's words:

We cordially invite you to the opening and panel discussion in the lecture hall of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart!

Tue, July 14 | 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. | Doors open at 6:30 p.m. | Free admission

Just out of art school—and already in the museum: For the second time, this year’s graduation projects by the graduates of the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart (ABK Stuttgart) are on view in the exhibition titled “A – Z. Mapping the Future.” The idea for this exhibition series arose from the Academy’s desire to provide young artistic voices with a visible platform in the city while also fostering a close connection between the museum and the art academy.

“A – Z” is to be understood programmatically: The works are hung alphabetically according to the names of the participating artists—a neutral organizational system that deliberately highlights artistic diversity.

The exhibition demonstrates how diverse and self-assured this generation of young artists is in its self-expression. “Mapping the Future” brings diversity to the museum—and makes it clear that, for many of the participating artists, the future has long since begun.

On display are works from the following degree programs: Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Education in Art Education, and Master of Fine Arts in Body, Theory, and Poetics of the Performative.
