We wanted it this way, so now it's true: Germany - but nationalist! Right in the middle of the state of Aryans and oppressors: Aris Musca, artist, fugitive. The theater maker is no longer to the liking of the right-wing regime, and before the new state apparatus devours him for good, he prefers to abscond. The action fails: In the Department Store of Humanity, of all places, in search of a few last humane remnants, Musca is confronted and arrested by Stauf, a politician loyal to the regime.
While the secret police wait for him, the bored Stauf makes a pact with the artist: for once, he wants to be staged by him as a do-gooder, for once he wants to play the game of left-wing virtue and understand what drives people like Musca. And if he does a good job - who knows?
