The Kreuzkirche Dresden cordially invites you to a festive organ concert on the 2nd Advent, Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 5:00 pm. Visitors can expect a musical hour of reflection and expectation, presented by the versatile concert organist Giulio Bonetto. Free admission to this event.

The program spans a sonorous arc from the Baroque masters to Romantic and English organ music. The focus is on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, whose monumental Prelude and Fugue in E minor, BWV 548, and the moving chorale arrangement Our Father in the Kingdom of Heaven unfold a special depth in the Advent season. Giulio Bonetto, known for his innovative arrangements, will also present Johann Pachelbel's famous Ciacona in F minor in his own symphonic paraphrase.

Romantic and mystical moments will be provided by César Franck's intimate Prière, op. 20 and works by English composers: John Ireland's The Advent (in an organ arrangement by the soloist) and Herbert Howells' atmospheric Psalm Prelude Op. 32 No. 1. The crowning finale will be the majestic finale from Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Reformation Symphony with the chorale "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott", performed in the famous organ arrangement by William Thomas Best.
