Scenes from "Orlando"
Orlando is born a man of noble birth in the 16th century and rises to become the favorite of Elizabeth I until a Russian princess breaks his heart. In the 18th century, while living as an envoy in Constantinople, he transforms into a woman overnight. As such, she returns to England, enjoys the adoration of men and falls in love again, until - in the 19th century - the conformist role conventions challenge her spirit of resistance.
