In the organizer's words:

In two exhibition tours, five of the artists will speak one after the other about the conceptual background of their work and the specific presentation in sound, image and other materials. They provide insights into the semantic and sensual levels and generate impulses for movement in the socio-political field of tension.

The subsequent open discussion rounds, each moderated by curators of the project and a guest, build on experiences, observations and questions from the previous exhibition tour. They create a platform to reflect on the transcontinental context in which the individual works are embedded and to discuss the role that sound and listening play here.

The concert in the evening is characterized by extraordinary performances, long-standing collaborations across continents and spontaneous improvisations. Steloolive, sound and performance artist from Accra and current fellow of the JUNGEN AKADEMIE, defies conventions in his dynamic performance. The collaboration between Luca Forcucci and Oscillatons artist Mpho Molikeng began in Johannesburg in 2018 and was intensified during Molikeng's residency in Berlin. It brings together the sound language of African instruments, most of which were built by Molikeng himself, with live electronics and improvisation. Other Oscillations musicians will also take part in this process. The evening culminates in a jam session by the Oscillations musicians, including Muhammad Dawjee, Neo Muyanga, Kirsten Reese, Garth Erasmus and Mpho Molikeng.

Afterwards, DJ KillaDuJour, a vinyl-only DJ whose sensitive ear for the unconventional intersections between groovy techno, sophisticated electronica and the B-side curiosities of dance music helps her to develop her very own sound.
