Othello

Venice has a few problems. The proud republic is almost bankrupt, the soldiers are running away, and the Turks are challenging its supremacy in the Mediterranean.
Hope lies with Othello, of all people, the general with an immigrant background. Admired for his talent, suspiciously eyed for his skin color.

But politicians have understood: Diversity is strength and good for business.
But where there are new winners, there are also new losers. And one of them is Iago, who lives up to his reputation as the best Shakespearean villain of all time. He manipulates the angry citizens and the quota climbers, the well-meaning and the bloody patriots - and everyone plays along until (warning, spoiler!) the only person who could have saved Venice is destroyed.
