In the organizer's words:
Over The Border" stands for overcoming borders. Since 2016, the festival in Bonn has been contributing to this in many ways. With numerous concerts this year, it once again brings many different people together to experience musicians from different countries, who combine a part of their home culture with contemporary global sounds on stage. With its program, the Over The Border Festival also campaigns against racism and exclusion. In cooperation with the UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification), the festival also addresses the issues of desertification and climate change.
