A cigarette-smoked, dark rehearsal room. The only dim light sources are candles
candles and a lava lamp. It is hot. And from the guitar amplifiers vibrate
tremolo guitars vibrate out of the guitar amps - If one had to describe the music of Paloma & The Matches from
Bremen, this would probably be the most fitting image.
The band is characterized above all by a handmade mix of good mood
surf music, dirty guitar riffs, paired with funky basslines and melancholic-dreamy sounds.
dreamy sounds reminiscent of old Tarantino or Bond soundtracks. Here and
oriental drums get lost in the authentic overall picture,
broken by raw main vocals of the singer Bianca Paloma Marstaller and
and rounded off by the experimental three-part harmonies of the male band members
Kai Kampf, Tom Wagner and Jelte Hildebrands.
The four hippies in leather jackets, bell-bottoms and Chelsea boots take you on a journey back in time.
time travel and draw their very own blurred picture of a 60s utopia. Their
unique sound works best on a stage with a big dance floor - or at least
or at least turned up very loud on your grandparents' record player.
